The Edit: Fall 2019

Happy Fall my friends! Today I’m launching a new blog series called “PSL: Pinning, Scrolling, Listening” which happens to perfectly align with Pumpkin Spice Latte season. :) I will be doing PSL blog posts quarterly to give you all a little window into more of who I am and what’s currently capturing my attention. Things I’m pinning on Pinterest, Instagram feeds that I’m consistently scrolling, as well as podcasts and music I’m currently enjoying. This time around, I threw in a few of my favorite Fall nail colors and some incredible books I’ve been reading as well because, well, why not?! My hope is that each of you will find something that inspires!

pinning

I’ve been in mood board mania over here lately for several new clients, so here’s a little snapshot of some inspiration I’ve been pulling for those, as well as some favorites for my own personal style and home inspo.

scrolling

Not only can I not get enough of their Instagram Stories, but also I love scrolling through photos on their profiles. Each of these ladies curate beautiful feeds, while also remaining authentic to the core and true to who they are.

  • @arrowsandbow My husband and I’s daily entertainment. We’ve loved following along with Ashley, Dino and their family for quite a while now. Great style, workouts, and creative DIY projects, but most importantly they set an amazing example of parenting, family life, faith and having a ton of fun with it all.

  • @darlingiloveit Jen is one of my favorites to follow right now. Raw. Transparent. Hilarious. And always full of valuable tidbits on marriage, style and good reminders to not take Instagram (or life!) too seriously. I also love that she’s in Bend (my happy place), another PNW local!

  • @eacourts My go-to for all things inspiration. Home. Style. The outdoors. Oils. You name it. She also has a mutual love for Fall which is always fun to follow along with!

  • @everydavismoments She coined the “20 minute blitz” for tidying up your house and is a hoot to follow. I love her IGTV styling videos and how she is not afraid to be herself. Another gal full of down-to-earth truth, wisdom, family and joy!

  • @natalieborton Love love love her styling videos! She provides such practical ways to piece outfits together and I love her casual, neutral toned fashion vibes. My kinda style!

  • @halfbakedharvest Almost everything we’re cooking at home this Fall has been from her Instagram and cookbook. Hearty, flavorful and unique recipes that are total crowd pleasers.

listening

PODCASTS
I’ve been a long time listener of all three of these podcasts and have been diving back into new episodes lately. Typology is rich with Enneagram wisdom; and both Business Boutique and Goal Digger are full of practical advice for both life and business.

MUSIC
All new releases within the past couple months, and all on repeat in the Peterson household this Fall.

my go-to fall nail colors

I’ve rotated through these four colors every Fall for the past few years and I never get sick of them. Wanna know my foolproof shellac look-a-like process?

Step 1 Paint one coat of color and let fully dry.
Step 2 Paint second coat and let fully dry.
Step 3 Paint Sally Hansen Insta-Dri clear coat on top and VOILA!

Everyone always asks if it’s shellac - nope!

what’s currently on my bookshelf

Own your Everyday
Started this over the weekend and I can’t get enough. Her writing style makes it feel like you’re grabbing coffee with a friend who’s not afraid to throw some powerful punches of truth.

Prayer
And oldie but goodie that’s been on my list for years and I finally cracked it open about a week ago. Only four chapters in and I never want it to end.

Cozy Minimalist Home
Haven’t started this one yet, but it’s sitting next to my couch waiting to be opened. Can hardly wait to read it!

The Path Between Us
Finished this about a month ago and it. was. so. good. If you’re new to the Enneagram, be sure to read The Road Back to You first and then dive into this one. Full of amazing wisdom on how to navigate all types of relationships through the lens of the Enneagram.
