The Edit: Spring 2020

What a weird season we’re in. In the midst of chaos, one thing that has been grounding for me is keeping a routine and sticking to the things I was doing before the coronavirus hit. Things like: morning walks and workouts, getting ready and dressed for the day, my usual work hours and cooking a yummy dinner. And with that, I have a bit of “normal” for you with the Spring 2020 Edit! What I’ve been pinning, scrolling, listening to, reading, and of course, my current shopping list. I hope this brightens your day and brings a fun breath of fresh air during this crazy time.

pinning

As always, a little style and home inspo thrown in with client project research. I’ve been drawn to softer spring colors lately: olive, cream, blush and accents of rust and coral. With the abnormally warm weather we’ve been having, I’ve been on the hunt for some fun spring outfit inspiration as well. Follow along on Pinterest here.

scrolling

A few accounts that I’ve been scrolling through lately. Some I’ve followed for years, others are newer to my feed, and all of them are absolutely worth checking out!

  • @mackenzipitman Family, recipes, faith and a daily source of encouragement!

  • @shutthekaleup Health, wellness and food inspiration, along with a whole lot of laughs.

  • @kelsieemm I’ve been following along with their home building process for a while now and it keeps getting better and better!

  • @burtsbrisplease Style, life, motherhood, and the most stunning feed you’ve ever seen.

listening

PODCASTS
Two podcasts I’m listening to right now. “Your Enneagram Coach” recently launched and I’m really looking forward to all the interviews they have coming up. “Made for This” is new to me, and I’m loving the deep and truth filled content.

what’s currently on my bookshelf

Draw the Circle
I’m reading this for the (4th?) time right now, and each time it has made a different yet significant impact on my life. Before I begin the book, I always pick 3-4 things to “circle” in prayer and then read with those things in mind. Highly recommend!

The Bait of Satan
Reading this with some girl friends right now and we’re only a few chapters in, but I can already tell it’s one of those “read often” books. It’s filled with eye opening truth, conviction, and has sparked some incredible conversation.

The Complete Enneagram
Crawling through this monster of a book, but have been loving the added depth it brings to conversation around the Enneagram.

Magnolia Table: Volume 1
Not a new cookbook, but I’ve been using it SO much recently since we’ve been stuck at home. The comfort food and baked treats have been a hit in our house lately, and we have yet to make something in here that isn’t delicious (or filled with butter). Can’t wait to get my hands on Volume 2!

shopping list

With all the sunshine and warm weather we’ve been having lately, my brain has been on sprucing up our back deck and my wardrobe! Here’s a few things I’m looking at for our outdoor area (some we’ve already bought!), as well as some favorite spring clothes I’ve purchased so far this year.
